It is with great pleasure that we share the story of our dream college, which was established in line with the visionary goals of our management committee. Beginning with the founding of the girls' high school and Girls P U College, our committee sought to provide unparalleled opportunities for girls to pursue higher studies. Their vision came to fruition with the establishment of a women's degree college in the rural area of Lakshmeshwar, named in honor of the founding president, Smt. Parvatibai Shankargouda Bahaddur Desai.
Our beloved Shri Tai Parvati Makkala Balagada Arts And Commerce Degree College For Women in Laxmeshwar embarked on its journey on May 23, 2016. The institute is blessed with the guidance of Gangdhar Kashi Swamiji, whose wisdom propels us forward into a bright and promising future.
Our college started with 33 students in 2016, and we are proud to say that our student population has now grown to over 250, all pursuing their B.A/B.Com degrees with a variety of optional subjects such as Political Science, Kannada, English, Sociology, History, Economics and Commerce.
Our college is affiliated with Karnataka State Akkamahadevi Women’s University Vijayapur, and out of 148 colleges, only 38 are successfully running the N.S.S social program. We are delighted to share that our college is successfully running 2 units as part of this program. Looking ahead, our future dream is to have our students participate in the Republic Day parade. To achieve this, we have initiated training for our students, which began in the academic year 2021-22.

I can boldly say that we have excelled in every initiative that we undertook and we have stood together in facing the challenges in realizing quality education. We focus on discovering, developing and drawing out the hidden talents and the magic lying dormant inside all of its students. From academics to co-curricular activities, perseverance and a never-say-die spirit are entrenched in the heart of every student not only making them good students but brilliant human beings. I am very happy with the progress the college has made by imbibing in its students value based education synergized with modern teaching-learning methods to produce a generation of well informed and emotionally sound generation. I am positive that in times to come we will continue this journey with elevated enthusiasm and persistently provide a platform of holistic learning to the young generation of learners.
